Acting Chief of MMDA Denies Connection with Fake Traffic Enforcer
MMDA – The acting chief of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is willing to give a Php 10,000 reward for information of impostor traffic enforcer.
Metro Manila is one of the most crowded places in the Philippines. It is where the seat of government in the country lies and, undeniably, there is usually a big challenge on the part of the MMDA traffic enforcers to implement the rules to decongest the vehicles on the road. However, aside from the heavy traffic, there is another issue that the government agency is dealing with now.
Previously, there were incidents of individuals falsely claiming to be traffic enforcers of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. One incident even went viral online. A motorist was caught and the traffic enforcer attempted to extort money from him. When he asked for an I.D. of the traffic enforcer, he suddenly fled.
The said viral incident reached the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. The government agency had it verified and, based on its recent post, it found out that the man in viral video is not one of its employees or connected to the agency.
MMDA acting chairman Attorney Don Artes is calling to the public that whoever knows about the man may visit their office. He is ready to give a Php 10,000 reward to anyone who can give information about the impostor traffic enforcer.
Anyone who knows the name of the fake traffic enforcer or his residing address may also send a personal message or direct message to the Facebook page of the MMDA. According to the acting chairman of the government agency, they will file charges against the man who claimed to be a traffic enforcer.
