G. Toengi suggests that Cristy Fermin should retire
G. TOENGI – The former actress, suggested that Cristy Fermin should consider retiring, citing the numerous charges filed against her by various personalities.
Notably, Sarah Lahbati’s mother, Bea Alonzo, Sharon Cuneta, and Kiko Pangilinan have taken legal action against Cristy for her remarks. Giselle expressed her belief via Twitter that it’s time for Cristy to step away from her role as a showbiz columnist.
“Retire Christy Fermin. It’s time!” she noted in a post on the microblogging site, X, formerly known as Twitter.
Giselle herself faced criticism from Cristy back in 2020 when she commented on Arnell Ignacio. During her show, Cristy Ferminute, she brought up Giselle’s past work as a waitress in America, even mentioning her diploma from UCLA with honors.
Cristy labeled Giselle as “yabang” (arrogant) for flaunting her education but engaging in showbiz commentary. She also referred to Giselle as “hitad” (flirty), claiming to have received this information from Giselle’s ex-manager.
As of now, Cristy has not responded to Giselle’s suggestion. Meanwhile, Giselle Anne Töngi-Walters is an actress, singer, model, and host. She began her entertainment career at the young age of 5 when she was discovered by an agent.
She rose to prominence as a member of the pioneering batch of Star Circle (now Star Magic) in the Philippines during the 1990s. In the early 2000s, she ventured into Hollywood, securing roles in stage productions such as “Saved by the Bell: The Musical” and “Days When Cocaine Was King.” She also made a cameo appearance in “America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 16.”
In 2014, Giselle took on the role of host and producer of “Kababayan Today,” succeeding Jannelle So. On a personal note, Giselle married Tim Walters in a beach wedding in Boracay in 2005. They have been blessed with two children, Kenobi Benjamin, and Alecks.
