Man caught smoking on an airplane
SMOKING ON AN AIRPLANE – A man in his mid-20s was caught smoking while on a flight from Manila bound to Iloilo.
In a now-viral Facebook post, Travelosyo shared one of the most dramatic flights he’d ever been on, 5J 449 from Manila bound to Iloilo.
According to him, he was sleeping when he heard an emergency alarm. He added that it was something he had never heard in all his years of flying. Then, the captain started speaking: “To someone inside the front lavatory you’re not allowed to smoke, you’re jeopardizing the safety of this flight. You will be sent to the police once we landed at Iloilo Airport.”
Then, the cabin crew escorted the man who smoked back to his seat and talked to him. And when they landed, they were held back. Eventually, security and police arrived. Later, he was escorted out.
Travelosyo noted that the one who was caught smoking was around a mid-20s guy. Control your urge to smoke or vape on the plane.
“So the one who did it was around mid 20s na guy. Pigilan nyo yung pangangati nyo mag smoke or mag vape sa plane. If im not mistaken its up P20,000 penalty plus possibility of lifetime banned sa airline,” Travelosyo noted as a reminder to the public.
