Jiro Manio on his showbiz career
JIRO MANIO – The former child star recently revealed the reason why he can’t fully commit to returning to showbiz.
The former actor appeared on Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where he talked about a variety of things – his recent appearance in “Pinoy Pawnstars”, his gig as a drug rehab volunteer, and his possible return to the showbiz industry.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, he said that he misses showbiz, and he confidently answered yes when he was asked if he’s aware he’s a good actor.
Jiro also revealed that he actually still receives showbiz offers from time to time, but he can’t fully commit to returning to showbiz because his doctors advised him not to.
According to the award-winning actor, his doctors from rehab advised him not to take showbiz projects because he might get sick again because of the stress. He added that he’s taking medicines until now.
The former child star also said that his doctors forbade him a lot of things. Enumerating some of the things his doctors forbade him to do, he said that he can’t stay up too late, he can’t get angry too much, and he can’t take substances.
In the same interview, the award-winning actor shared how people would randomly walk up to him to ask if he will ever return to showbiz. According to him, he told people that he needs a full recovery.
But when he was asked at the “Fast Talk” portion of the show if he will return to showbiz, he said “No.”
Jiro was also asked if he sulked in the showbiz industry. According to him, he said he’s not sulking in the showbiz industry but he just feels like he needs some space so he can do what he wants to do.

When Tito Boy asked him where he is now in his life, he said that he’s “in reality”. The former child star then explained about the reality he was referring to, saying that he’s standing on his own feet and he will face the trials in his life.
