Honest Angkas Returns Lost Wallet to Respective Owner
An honest Angkas rider earned praise from the online community for returning a lost wallet to its respective owner.
Wilson Armendarez Dimo, a Facebook user, shared a photo of a wallet he found, containing money and important documents. His good deed garnered various positive reactions from netizens.
In his post, Dimo narrated the story of his encounter with the lost wallet while waiting at the Ayala stoplight, right in front of RCBC. He explained that he was riding an Angkas motorcycle when he noticed the owner of the wallet accidentally drop it as the light turned green.
Despite the fast pace of the motorcycle, Dimo quickly picked up the wallet and attempted to catch up. However, the rider was too fast, and Dimo couldn’t reach him until the Malugay stoplight.
Instead of giving up, Dimo decided to proceed with his scheduled deliveries before checking the contents of the wallet. To his surprise, he found identification, money, and essential items like an ATM and Medicare card.
Luckily, there was a receipt with the owner’s contact number. Dimo immediately contacted the owner, informing him that he had found the lost wallet. The two arranged a meeting, and Dimo went to the owner’s workplace near SM Jazz Mall.
The owner expressed her gratitude for the return of his wallet, and as a token of appreciation, he offered Dimo an amount of P1,000. However, Dimo humbly declined the reward because the satisfaction of returning something not belonging to him was reward enough.
