‘Jingle’ Magazine Founder Gilbert Guillermo Dies
‘Jingle’ magazine founder Gilbert Guillermo has already passed away at the age of 74-year-old, which was confirmed by his family.
Nerissa Guillermo, the wife of Gilbert Guillermo’s brother confirmed the death of the personality. She revealed that the magazine founder has died on Tuesday morning (July 21, 2020).
Nerissa posted a photo of a weeping chordian angel while expressing her grief due to the unfortunate incident. The fans and supporters of the magazine brand expressed their condolences for Guillermo.
Gilbert survived two brain surgeries after his retirement and eventually died due multiple disease and health conditions. His family also shared the bad news in several social media posts.

“The Chordian Angel weeps… It is a very sad day for the Guillermos and the whole JINGLE Clan as well. Kuya Gilbert, the brains, boss and big brother of JINGLE goes home. Rarely seen…barely known by many… but will truly be missed for what he has shared to all that has greatly shaped Filipino pop culture.”
The Jingle magazine has a significant value to the Philippine music industry for teaching aspiring Filipino guitarists how to play guitar and hit songs. the magazine has been launched in 1970 when Gilbert was only 24 years old.
