OWWA SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS – Here are the documents that you must submit to apply as scholar under the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) program.
Many people have finished their studies with the help of scholarship founations and public and private benefactors that sponsor the education of scholars. The assistance provided by these entities have assisted countless poor but deserving individuals in finishing their studies.
One of the state entities that offer a scholarship is the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration or OWWA. One of its scholarship offers is the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program or the ODSP.
The ODSP was crafted to provide financial aid for the qualified dependents of OFWs who earn not more than USD 600.00 in a month abroad. Here are the eligibility requirements for this OWWA scholarship offer:
First Year College Students:
- Single
- Grade 11 graduate (Incoming Grade 12 / currently enrolled as Grade 12)
- Not more than 21 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load
2nd to 5th Year in College:
- Single
- Not more than 30 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load
There are documentary requirements for OWWA scholarship application. Here are the documents that you need to submit in applying:
- Scholarship Application Form
- OFW Membership Record
- 2pcs. I.D. Picture with Name Tag
- At least one (1) valid I.D. of the OFW and/or the Authorized Representative
- Proof of Relationship to OFW Member i.e. Birth Certificate from PSA or LCR
