CHED SCHOLARSHIP STIPENDS FOR SCHOLARS – Are you wondering how much you will get if you will be a scholar of the Commission on Higher Education?
A lot of Filipinos did not allow poverty to stop them from achieving their dreams of finishing their studies. Despite their very challenging financial situations, they persevered and looked for ways to graduate – like applying for a scholarship.
There are several public and private institutions that offer scholarships to dedicated students. One of the state institutions that offer scholarships for college is no other than the governing body in the tertiary education, CHED.
Who are qualified to apply for a scholarship to CHED? The following are the considerations in the evaluation of CHED scholarship applications:
- a Filipino citizen
- Graduating high school student or high school graduate with a general average General Weighted Average (GWA)
- For Full State Scholarship Program (FSSP) and Full Private Education Student Financial Assistance (FPESPA), GWA must be 96% or above.
- For Half-SSP and Half-PESPA, GWA must be 93% but not more than 95%.
- Must have a combined annual gross income of parents/guardian which does not exceed Four Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP 400,000), or in cases where the income exceeds PhP 400,000 an applicant must present written certification or medical findings of illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college;
- Avail of only one government-funded financial assistance program.
How much is the CHED scholarship stipends for scholars? The amounts received by the scholars including the allowance vary depending on what was set by the Commission.
