Caloocan gov’t gives a total of P1M cash gift for Bar passers from UCC
CASH GIFT – Bar passers from the University of Caloocan City (UCC) received a total of P1 million cash gift from the Caloocan government.
During the Testimonial Ceremony of UCC- College of Law held at Bulwagang Katipunan, Caloocan City Hall-South on Monday, May 22, Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, who led the awarding, expressed his gratitude to the new lawyers. “Congratulations po at sa bagong kabanata ng inyong buhay, hiling ko po na tulungan niyo sana kami sa pagpapaunlad sa ating lungsod,” he said.
Among the newly registered lawyers who receive cash gift from the LGU were Verona Baladad, Roland Gregory Dictado, Misha Ela Ferrer, Rodrigo Manluctao Jr., Morris James Masalihit, Rey Martin Palisoc, and Maria Lyra Valdez.
The mayor stated that he wants to collaborate with them towards building a better society. “Magkaroon kayo ng malasakit sa inyo, at higit sa lahat, maglingkod kayo nang tapat at ng buong kahusayan sa bawat Pilipino,” he added.
Meanwhile, the local chief executive also announced that UCC was recognized as the Top 3 Law School in the recent bar examination. He encouraged the new lawyers to excel with pride and serve as role models for university students.
“Patuloy niyong bigyan ng karangalan ang University of Caloocan City at ang Lungsod ng Caloocan, dahil ang tagumpay niyo ay tagumpay ng bawat Batang Kankaloo,” aniya,” he said.
According to Balita, the city university was established in 1971 and was formerly known as Caloocan City Community College and Caloocan City Polytechnic College.
