Daughter of Mick Jagger fined for assaulting police in Spain
JADE JAGGER – A Spanish court has issued a verdict against the daughter of legendary Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, in relation to an incident where she attacked a police officer on the island of Ibiza. As a result, Jagger has been ordered to pay a total of 2,200 euros ($2,422) in fines and compensation.
The incident took place at a restaurant in Ibiza Town, the capital of the island, and led to Jagger’s arrest along with another individual. During a fast-track hearing held on Friday, Jagger agreed to pay fines amounting to 1,200 euros for resisting authorities and 200 euros for causing minor injuries. Additionally, she was instructed to provide compensation of 800 euros to the injured police officer.
The male individual involved, who was identified solely by his initials A.W., received a more severe punishment. He was sentenced to four months of imprisonment for assault and battery. It is worth noting that in Spain, prison sentences shorter than two years are usually suspended if the defendant has no prior criminal record.
The court’s decision holds Jagger accountable for her actions, requiring her to pay both financial penalties and compensation to the affected police officer. The incident serves as a reminder of the consequences individuals may face when engaging in physical altercations and assaulting law enforcement officials.
