Is ABS-CBN singer Daryl Ong transferring to GMA-7?
ABS-CBN singer Daryl Ong has been rumored of transferring to GMA-7 after posting a photo of himself accompanied by a caption: “Makulay ang buhay.”
The 33-year-old singer who’s allegedly banned from Kapamilya Network took to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein he posted a photo of him with the caption “Makulay and buhay,” a lyric from the theme song of the Kapuso Network.
It was on June 16 when Daryl Ong shocked his fans and supporters as he bids goodbye among his colleagues in the Kapamilya Network.
In a video blog, Daryl Ong narrates how he and his fellow singer Bugoy Drilon ended up being banned from ABS-CBN.
According to him, it all started when he and other members of BuDaKhel went to Iloilo for an event.
They were at the airport when they came across a conversation about the franchise issue of ABS-CBN.
But their chitchat was recorded by someone and apparently it reached a “big boss” from ABS-CBN.
Then, he and Bugoy Drilon were told that they are banned from performing on any Kapamilya shows.
This happened even before the hiatus of ABS-CBN following its shutdown due to franchise renewal issues.
But according to an article published by PEP.ph, Daryl Ong was not “totally banned” from the Kapamilya Network.
Meanwhile, the “Makulay ang buhay” post of Daryl Ong then flooded with reactions from the netizens with some asking if he’s switching network.
Daryl Ong rose to fame when he first joined the Philippine adaptation of The Voice.
After his The Voice stint, he made a name for himself after performing some of the popular soundtracks of ABS-CBN primetime series such as on “On the Wings of Love” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
He’s also part of the trio, “BuDaKhel” alongside Bugoy Drilon and Michael Pangilinan.
