Doc Willie Ong: “Nung isang araw, nakatanggap ako ng letter kay Ms. Kris Aquino, sa lawyers niya ng cease and desist order kasi …“
DOC WILLIE ONG – The media personality and cardiologist recently spoke about the demand letter that he received from Kris Aquino’s lawyers.
To recall, it was on Tuesday when Doc Willie warned the public about fake advertisements and scammer pages in social media sites.
On Wednesday, he posted a video where he spoke about the issue between him and the Queen of All Media. He shared that he received a demand letter because he allegedly posted a fake ad using Kris Aquino’s face for nuts or cereals.
Doc Willie said he was surprised when he saw an Inquirer report where Kris Aquino, through her legal counsel, issued a demand letter address to him. Attached in the demand letter obtained by Inquirer are screenshots of the assailed fake ads allegedly posted on Doc Willie and his wife’s “verified Facebook accounts”.
He also showed their official Facebook pages – his “Doc Willie Ong” page with a verified blue checkmark and his wife’s “Doc Liza Ramoso-Ong” Facebook page with 3.7 million followers.
“So nagugulat ako [kung] bakit hindi ako tinawagan ng media outlet at kinalat na ito. At sa pagkakaalam ko, halos lahat ng media nakatanggap nito,” he said, referring to the demand letter from Kris Aquino’s lawyers. “Sirang sira po reputation natin dito. Wala po akong ginagawa. Wala po akong kasalanan dito.”
Doc Willie went on to show some original and altered photos of him, as well as photos that are already fact-checked by Vera Files. He also reiterated that he only endorsed “Birch Tree Advance for Seniors” and also doing charity works since 2006.

In the comments section of his post, Doc Willie was asked if he has plans to file a libel case.
“Pwede nga dapat eh,” Doc Willie said in response to the netizen’s comment on his Facebook post. “Pero pinipilit natin sila unawain at intindihin kahit agrabyado tayo. Dasal lang.”
