Tukomi should be investigated by the PNP, netizens say
TUKOMI – Some netizens urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) to charge the famous pranksters due to their controversial kidnap prank.
Tukomi, a prank channel run by twins, Lester G and Hiroshi Tukomi, was heavily criticized after a recent prank they pulled which almost cost them their lives. In the said gimmick, a police officer, PSSg Ronnie Conmigo, tried to stop them from what he thought was a forceful kidnapping of someone.
Fortunately, Conmigo refrained from using his service firearm against the group after they explained that it was just a prank. However, Conmigo was critical at Tukomi for their bad joke and warned other vloggers not to imitate such actions.
Despite the controversy surrounding the incident, they still decided to upload the video to monetize it. This decision has drawn backlash from netizens who called for Conmigo to file charges against Tukomi as a lesson for their irresponsible actions.
Netizen Luis Palacios expressed the need to investigate Tukomi, stating that their pranks could potentially cause accidents and that they should be responsible for their jokes as they are not funny. Another netizen named Virgina commented that they should be charged instead of being let off the hook, as their video on YouTube shows their pride in fooling a police officer. Netizen Mondan raised the question of whether Tukomi’s actions could be considered as alarm and sc@ndal.
Apparently, it remains unclear whether Conmigo plans to file charges against them. The incident has sparked a debate on the responsibilities of content creators when it comes to pranks and the potential consequences of their actions.
