FROM KABAONG TO IHAWAN – A casket was tranformed into a BBQ grill in North Cotabato.

Barbecue grills are a beloved tool for cooking food outdoors. These versatile appliances can be powered by gas or charcoal and offer an easy way to cook up delicious meals with a unique smoky flavor. They are a favorite among many families during the summer months, and for good reason. Grilling is a healthier way to cook, as the fat from the meat drips off, resulting in a leaner meal.

Beyond the health benefits, grilling is also a social activity that brings people together. Many families and friends enjoy hosting barbecues, where they can gather around the grill, cook food, and enjoy each other’s company. The smell of grilled food is irresistible and adds to the overall experience of the event. Whether it’s a large gathering or an intimate dinner, a barbecue grill is the perfect tool to create a memorable meal.

When it comes to choosing a barbecue grill, there are many factors to consider. Gas grills are easy to use and offer a quick way to cook food, while charcoal grills provide a more authentic smoky flavor that many people prefer. Portable grills are perfect for camping trips or picnics, and built-in grills offer a more permanent solution for outdoor cooking. No matter which type of grill you choose, it’s essential to follow proper safety precautions and take care of your grill to ensure it lasts for many summers to come.

But in North Cotabato, a funeral parlor owner decided to transform a casket or kabaong into a BBQ grill. On Facebook, businessman Vincent Doletin posted some photos and video of his unique masterpiece.

According to him, the idea to transform a kabaong into a BBQ grill started during the pandemic after watching the famous “coffin dance meme.” He added that it took him two days to transform the casket into a grilling machine.
