LUANE DY AND CARLO GONZALEZ – The former “Unang Hirit” host and the Kapuso actor recently shared how their love story began.
Luane and Carlo are the guests in the latest episode of the “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel” podcast.
In an interview with podcast host Pia Arcangel, the couple recalled how their love story began. Carlo shared that he casually met Luane when they came alone to their friend’s party at that time.
The actor added that he and Luane had a great time talking about their lives then, but they didn’t keep in touch after that. They met again when the two got a chance to work for a Kapuso soap, “I Heart You, Pare!”
“Doon talaga nabuo,” Carlo said. “We see each other almost [on a] daily basis tapos yun na, kapag mga down time nagkukwentuhan [kami].”

Luane, for her part, said that she first thought Carlo was “suplado” and “masungit”.
The former “Unang Hirit” host also said that the actor might be the quiet type, but the actor said that it was a way for him to look “mysterious”. When Pia Arcangel noted “gumana naman”, she admitted that his mysterious ways were “sobrang effective”.
Carlo also shared that he saw how bubbly Luane is.
“Nung first time I met her, bubby parang ano ayun bubbly personality tapos a little bit loud ganun, pero its ano e, maaano mo siya, it will grow on you. Which it did in my case,” the actor said.
The two got married in a civil wedding on November 28, 2019 and tied the knot in a dreamy church wedding last February 8, 2023.
