Luane Dy: “Ang purpose naman talaga [ng wedding] ay para magkita-kita at magsama-sama ang family and friends [namin]”
LUANE DY – The former “Unang Hirit” host recently spoke about her church wedding with her husband Carlo Gonzalez.
It was last Wednesday when Luane and Carlo tied the knot in a dreamy church wedding.
In Thursday’s episode of GMA Network’s “Unang Hirit”, the couple agreed that having a church wedding feels more “genuine” for them.
The former “Unang Hirit” host can be seen wearing a long-sleeved wedding dress, while her husband can be seen wearing a dapper white suit accentuated with a red bow tie during the church wedding.
“Since married naman na kami civilly, [Akala ko] chill-chill na lang kami, pero pagdating ko sa simbahan, bakit ngayon lang ako kinakabahan?” Luane said.
According to her, the purpose of their church wedding is for their family and friends to meet and get together. She also said that their church wedding is like a big reunion and so she and her husband waited for it to happen.

Luane and Carlo tied the knot in a dreamy wedding ceremony on Wednesday at the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Pasay City.
Kapuso stars were also present during the wedding at that time – including Dingdong Dantes, Mikee Quinto, Ruru Madrid, Marian Rivera, Ryan Agoncillo, and Paul Salas, among others.
To recall, the couple got engaged at Disneyland California last May 2019 and announced that the two were expecting their first child that same year. It was last May 2020 when Luane gave birth to a baby boy.
The couple first tied the knot in a civil ceremony as their dream wedding was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic at that time.
