Bongbong Marcos on Tito Danding: “You were a rock in my life”
BONGBONG MARCOS – Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he paid tribute to the late Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr.
The chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of San Miguel Corporation passed away on Tuesday, June 15 at the age of 85 due to lung cancer.
Meanwhile, Bongbong Marcos, went to Facebook to pay tribute to the late tycoon and political kingmaker by changing his profile picture with a black and white image of his Tito Danding.
“Goodbye, Tito Danding. You were a rock in my life. Go with God now to a better place,” he noted.
Danding Cojuangco is known for having a close relationship with the Marcoses. In fact, he named one of his sons- Marcos Juan Bruno “Mark” Cojuangco.
According to official sources of Inquirer.net, the remains of Danding Cojuangco was immediately cremated.
Danding Cojuangco was a former ambassador to the United States.
With his huge interest in politics, he ran for president in 1992. However, he lost the seat to then-President Fidel V. Ramos.
He is also known for being a sports aficionado. He owned three (3) teams in the PBA, namely the San Miguel Beermen, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, and Magnolia Hotshots.
He is the uncle of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.
