American Bully Dog Wins against Anti-Pitbull Policy of Subdivision
AMERICAN BULLY – A dog named “Kimbo” won the case versus a subdivision that implements an anti-pitbull policy.
A lot of people are into dogs. Some have the Filipino dog breed “asong pinoy” or “aspin” while others have foreign-dog breeds such as shih tzu, chow chow, Siberian Husky, chihuahua, maltese, golden retriever, dachshund, rottweiler, mini pinscher, and bichon frise among others.
There are dog breeds that are popular as loving and sweet while there are also those that are known to be aggressive – although some of them are really not and the taking care of the dog is really a big factor in shaping its behavior. Undeniably, while some people love the term “pitbull”, there are situations that have put it in bad light thus some people know these dogs negatively.
Based on a social media post of a lawyer, Attorney Ben Cabrido Jr., there’s a subdivision in Cebu City that implements the Anti-Pitbull Policy. He and another lawyer, Atty. Joan Dulhao, fought for an American Bully dog in 2018.
Recently, Atty. Ben Cabrido Jr. recalled the victorious legal battle of the American Bully dog versus the subdivision that implements the Anti-Pitbull Policy. Based on the Facebook post, the dog injunction case was heard at the Regional Trial Court Branch 18 of Cebu City.
According to Atty. Cabrido, the legal battle took place in the last quarter of 2018 then. The lawyer posted on social media a page of the decision. It emphasized that “only cattles, pigs, sheep, carabaos, or horses and their similar class are prohibited within the subdivision premises”.
A lot of netizens were happy about the court’s decision favoring the dog Kimbo. The American Bully’s right to be with his owners in the subdivision where their home is located was fought for and won.
