Robbery is the crime of taking or attempting to take something of value by using force, the threat of force, or fear. Among the types of robbery are armed robbery, highway robbery or mugging, carjacking and extortion.

Armed robbery entails the use of a weapon, while aggravated robbery occurs when someone brings a deadly weapon or something that appears to be a deadly weapon with them while mugging or highway robbery occurs outside or in a public place such as a sidewalk, street, or parking lot.

Carjacking, on the other hand, is the act of forcibly stealing a car from a victim and extortion is the threat or an offer not to do something illegal in the event that goods are not provided, primarily through the use of words rather than actions.

Meanwhile, a burger store employee felt nervous and shaking after a man pretending to be a customer grabbed and pointed a gun at her in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City. The suspect appears to be wearing a cap and jacket in the CCTV footage. He was holding a white plastic when he took a handgun and pointed it at the service crew.

The female worker was threatened, so she took the plastic and placed the money inside. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim has not been able to return to her job due to the trauma she had. The Barangay Commonwealth assured that they will intensify patrolling in the area and that they are also ready to help the victim file a complaint with the police.
