Here are the winners of Miss Bacolod Masskara 2022
MISS BACOLOD MASSKARA 2022 – The coronation night of the highly anticipated pageant in Bacolod amid the Masskara Festival has finally taken place.
Kara Daniela Villarosa, 21, was crowned as Miss Bacolod Masskara Universe.
The third-year physical therapist student from Riverside College who advocates malnutrition awareness bested 14 lovely candidates in the coronation night held on Wednesday, October 19 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum.
She also won Miss Photogenic, Best in Evening Gown, and Best in Swimwear awards.
During the final Q&A, she was asked if Bacolod should continue to smile despite what it has gone through amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Being the City of Smiles I think we have to set an example to the rest of the country, we have to show them that even if we are faced with these challenges we are strong, we choose to rise from it all and we still decide to smile and for that I am so thankful to be standing here as a Bacolodnon,” she answered.
Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, his wife Dominique Lopez Benitez, Rep. Greg Gasataya, and businessman Ian Lo were among those who crowned her.
On the other hand, the Miss Bacolod MassKara World was Janine Gelera, a 21-year-old USLS student and the Miss Bacolod MassKara International was Jan Marie Bordon, a 21-year-old student from La Consolacion College Bacolod.
Eirine Juliane Granada was the first runner-up and the Darling of Social Media while Sandale Masangcay, who also won the best in festival costume award, finished second runner-up.
Yvonne Catamco was crowned Miss Congeniality, and Jan Marie Bordon was crowned Miss Talent.
The pageant was hosted by Miss Universe Philippines 2020 fourth runner-up Billie Hakenson and Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022 Pauline Amelinckx.
Kyle Echarri, a rising heartthrob, and OPM sensation Zack Tabudlo entertained the audience.
Carlos Durana served as pageant chairperson, and Rodney Mitz Ascalon served as director.
