CUSTOMER — The first person who bought Apple’s iPhone 14 at a gadget store in Makati City shared that he fulfilled his dream of having an iPhone.
The latest iPhone model had hundreds of customers camping outside a mall in Makati City before it was released on Friday midnight.
According to ABS-CBN News, “nearly 200 people” queued outside Power Mac Center in Greenbelt 3 Mall, with some customers even having spent the night lining up so that they could be among the first customers to get their hands on the latest device.
Based on a report, customers that lined up said that the gadget store distributed food while they waited.

Sarah Geronimo and Zack Tabudlo performed at the launch in order to keep the customers entertained. Huge promos awaited for the first few customers to buy iPhone 14.
Joey Reyes, a sales staff for a mall in Manila, became the first person to buy iPhone 14 at the gadget store. As seen in the photos posted by ABS-CBN News, he bought a Pro version of the device based on the packaging.
According to him, he dreamed of having an iPhone and started saving money in order to buy one.
He also shared that he started waiting outside the store at around 7:00 am last October 12, making his total waiting time around 41 hours. However, he clarified that he didn’t only endure the heat and hungry mosquitoes out of mere eagerness.
“Challenge sa madaling araw mainit at malamok. Mahirap yung tulugan na. Di naman pwede magdala kumot. Para makatulog ka maayos, nagdala ko ng carton. Pero sulit … the best kasi iPhone 14 worth it. Magagamit ko yan sa trabaho,” he shared. “Pag una ka sa pila May surprise ka. Di ko pa alam laman muster pa Pero May freebies.”
He, along with the first 50 customers, was given PHP 28,000 worth of accessories by Apple.
The 51st until the 150th customer, meanwhile, were gifted PHP 14,000 worth of freebies. Also, the store gave PHP 10,000 worth of freebies to the 151st until the 250th customers and PHP 5,000 worth of goods was granted to the 251st until 500th customers.
