IFA 2020 Scheduled On Sept. 3-5 In Berlin, To Limit Invite-only Attendees

IFA 2020 was scheduled from September 3-5 in Berlin, according to the executive director of IFA.

Jens Heithecker, the executive director of the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA), officially confirmed that the IFA 2020 was scheduled from September 3-5, 2020, in Berlin.

This, as the IFA was one of the largest annual tech events along with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and Mobile World Congress (MWC).

These tech events could help tech companies to build their new relationships and further their businesses. Also, these conferences could play an important role in the products general public have access to in their day-to-day activities.

However, CES and MWC, which was scheduled on the first half of the year 2020, was cancelled due to global concerns amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jens Heithecker, the executive director of the IFA, revealed that the IFA was working closely with public health authorities in Germany in order to ensure that the health and safety measures — including social distancing, careful crowd control and other effective public hygiene measures — were properly observed.

In a report on Gizmochina, the said conference would include four events and each event would only allow 1,000 invite-only attendees at a time. These events were listed below:

  • IFA Global Press Conference, which was limited to 2-3 keynotes stages and only about 800 journalists were allowed to attend. Cristiano Amon, the President of Qualcomm, will have his opening keynote during the said event.
  • IFA Global Markets, wherein original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODM) can attend this event
  • IFA Next and Shift Mobility, wherein startups and automotive companies can attend this event
  • IFA Business Lounges, which was intended for meeting spaces and lounges for companies
