Arnold Clavio pays tribute to Totong, the puppeteer behind his alter-ego, Arn-arn
ARNOLD CLAVIO – The Kapuso broadcast journalist took to social media wherein he mourned the passing of the puppeteer behind “Arn Arn.”
Arn-Arn, the sidekick of Clavio in Unang Hirit, became part of the morning show for more or less two decades.
Unfortunately, the puppeteer behind passed away earlier.
Danilo “Totong” Federez, the puppeteer behind Arn-arn possibly due to complications after having a stroke in 2017.
His passing was confirmed by his family through a Facebook post. He died at the age of 62.
Arn-arn is considered the alter-ego of Clavio that’s why the journalist could not hide his emotion following the sudden death of Federez.
Recently, he went to the social media platform, Instagram wherein he posted a tribute to Federez, the man behind Arn-arn.
In a lengthy post, he talked about how professional Federez was when they used to work together. He also lauded Federez on how he takes care of Arn Arn.
“When I heard the sad news ng pagyao ni Danilo Federez o ‘Totong’ sa kanyang mga kaibigan , noong Miyerkules ng umaga , parang may part of me na nawala,” he said.
According to him, “Totong” is the soul of Arn-arn.
Here’s the tribute of Arnold Clavio to Federez:
It was in 2017 when Totong suffered a stroke. At the time, he was hospitalized for two months. He was even placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital where he was confined.
Eventually, in 2019, he decided to leave Unang Hirit along with the famous puppet.
