Senator Win Gatchalian was recently elected as the new Senate President Pro Tempore, while Senator Erwin Tulfo was chosen as the new chairperson of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, replacing Senator Pia Cayetano.
Prior to the incident, Tulfo had announced that the committee’s scheduled hearing on the alleged flood control anomalies would be postponed. However, despite the announcement, the hearing proceeded as planned on June 4, with Pia Cayetano presiding over the session.
