Vice Ganda: “I’m very proud of Esnyr”
VICE GANDA – The comedian-host spoke out on social media after an edited video of him went viral, causing confusion among netizens.
The short clip made it seem like the comedian was annoyed with popular content creator Esnyr Ranollo. It was posted by a user named “Modern Pinoy” and featured Vice saying, “Si Esnyr, may event ako iniinvite ko sya pero di sya pumupunta, Unkabogable ko ilang beses ko na sya ininvite pero di sya pumupunta.”
Because the video was cut off before Vice’s full statement could be heard, many online users speculated that there was tension between him and Esnyr. The clip sparked controversy, leading some to believe that Vice had issues with the influencer.
Vice immediately addressed the matter in the comment section of the post. He clarified that the clip was taken out of context and that the full version told a very different story. “You intentionally did not post the whole video with it’s full context to create controversy and issues that will create negativity. Evil!” he wrote.
In the complete version of the video, Vice actually praises Esnyr. He explained that although they haven’t spent much time together yet and haven’t built a close relationship, he is proud of Esnyr’s talent and brilliance. Vice said, “Pero pa talaga kami nagkakasama kaya wala pa kaming relationship pa pero of course I’m very proud of Esnyr. Brilliant.”
The incident drew support from Vice’s fans, who criticized the misleading post and urged others not to judge people based on edited or incomplete content. One netizen commented, “Grabe ‘yung clip, kung di mo panoorin nang buo, iisipin mo may issue sila. Buti na lang nilinaw agad ni Meme Vice.”
