Netizen Shares Now-Deleted Video of Dennis Padilla Showing His Wedding Gifts
DENNIS PADILLA – The actor-comedian has shared in a now-deleted video his wedding gifts for his daughter, Claudia Barretto, and Basti Lorenzo.
The wedding of Claudia Barretto, the daughter of Padilla with former actress Marjorie Barretto, and Basti Lorenzo, son of business tycoon Martin Lorenzo who owns a chain of businesses, was undeniably surrounded by issues. It became a trending topic on social media after the father of the bride aired his disappointment online.
Dennis Padilla claimed he was treated as a “visitor” at the wedding of Claudia and Basti. The intimate, private church wedding ceremony was held at St. James The Great church in Muntinlupa. The actor-comedian also lamented not being able to walk his daughter down the aisle.
Following the wedding, in an interview with Ogie Diaz, Dennis Padilla claimed he sees no reconciliation with his children with Marjorie Barretto. According to him, he is tired of reaching out to Julia, Claudia, and Leon. He stressed that he has apologized to them publicly and privately and he also apologized to their mother and their partners.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Marjorie Barretto broke her silence on the issues of Dennis Padilla regarding the wedding of Claudia Barretto. According to Marjorie Barretto, Claudia did not want Dennis Padilla to walk her down the aisle. She also claimed that it was actually her who convinced their daughter to invite the actor-comedian in reaction to him claiming that their daughter did not allegedly want what happened at her wedding.
Marjorie also showed photos of her family with Dennis at the wedding in response to his claim that he was left out. The former actress also reacted to her ex-husband’s claim that his mother was crying at the wedding for how they were allegedly treated. Claudia’s mom showed a photo of her and the smiling mother of Dennis as she assisted her down from the altar after the picture-taking.
The issue gathered different opinions online. A netizen has also reposted a video of Dennis Padilla showing his wedding gifts for Claudia Barretto and Basti Lorenzo. Based on a video posted by Facebook user AJ Amore on social media, the actor-comedian’s gifts were a white cap with his face and the word “Astig” which he called a souvenir from him and two (2) small jars of “bagoong”.
Dennis stressed that the bagoong is in two flavors — sweet and spicy. Based on the post, the actor-comedian also shared where he got his outfits for the wedding of his daughter.
During her interview with Ogie Diaz, Marjorie Barretto said that Dennis Padilla could have given that day to their daughter and did not make issues out of it. She stressed that it was not about him or her but the couple.
