Recently, a netizen named Gerard Gamboa shared video of a tragic accident involving a tricycle driver and a student in Camarines Sur. The post quickly spread like wildfire on social media and garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to the CCTV footage, the accident happened around 10:00 AM on March 26, 2025 (Wednesday), in Barangay San Francisco, Nabua, Camarines Sur.
The student had just stepped off a passenger jeepney and was in the process of crossing the street when a speeding tricycle collided with them. The driver was reportedly in a hurry, transporting a patient to the hospital at the time of the accident.
The young woman was thrown to the ground and suffered injuries due to the impact. Bystanders quickly rushed to help and brought the victim to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Thankfully, reports indicate that the student is now in stable condition.
Authorities later clarified that the tricycle driver did not flee the scene intentionally. After realizing what had happened, he attempted to return to check on the victim.
However, upon arriving at the location, he found that the student had already been taken for medical care. Instead of leaving the matter unresolved, the driver proceeded directly to the police station to report the accident and explain the situation.
The incident reminds both drivers and pedestrians to always exercise caution on the road. While emergencies may require urgency, safety should never be compromised. Authorities continue to investigate the accident and remind motorists to drive responsibly to prevent similar incidents in the future.
