In a YouTube vlog, Ogie shared that rumors about Mayor Mark courting Kathryn first surfaced in July 2024 but eventually faded. Wanting to verify the speculation, Ogie messaged Mayor Mark directly but received no response. According to his source, the young mayor has been visiting Kathryn in Manila, while the actress has also traveled to Lucena City. However, neither of them has publicly confirmed the alleged relationship.
On Showbiz Update, Ogie and his co-hosts, Mama Loi and Ate Mrena, discussed Kathryn’s supposed new romance. Ogie stated that while Kathryn and Daniel had reconciled, getting back together seemed unlikely. “Kasi kung single pa rin si Kathryn, pwedeng magkaroon ng possibility kung liligawan pa rin siya ni Daniel. Ang chika sa akin ay taken na raw si Kathryn,” Ogie said.
When asked who Kathryn’s new partner might be, Ogie revealed that he is a “batang politician”. He further hinted that this politician was once his student in an acting workshop. His co-hosts quickly guessed, and Ogie confirmed, “Yes, si Mayor Mark Alcala ng Lucena City.”
Ogie recalled that he had tried confirming Mark’s courtship of Kathryn last year, but the mayor remained silent.
