Ivana Alawi Dismisses Cancer Prediction
IVANA ALAWI – The actress-vlogger has responded to psychic Rudy Baldwin’s recent prediction, firmly dismissing claims that she will develop cancer.
Ivana addressed public concerns following Baldwin’s statement on Rated Korina, where the psychic predicted that a well-known actress-vlogger would pass away in 2025 due to cancer. Baldwin described the individual as beautiful, sexy, and having a foreign father, with two sisters and one brother—details that led many to believe she was referring to Ivana.
During a media thanksgiving event on March 7, 2025, Ivana clarified that while she was hospitalized in 2024 due to ascites, a complication of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), she has since fully recovered. She reassured everyone that her health remains stable, aside from a recent bout of flu. She firmly denied Baldwin’s prediction, saying:
“Walang katotohanan na magkaka-cancer ako. Huwag kayong mag-alala, wala kaming sakit. Yung mama ko nga nag-alala dun [sa hula] tapos inaano niya ako. Sabi ko, ‘Mama, kalma, walang mangyayari sa atin.’ Wala namang makakapag-predict kung kailan ka mawawala, and that’s something you should not be scared of. Lahat naman tayo darating dun. Ang nakakaalam lang nun ay ang Diyos.”
Ivana’s career continues to flourish. On March 9, she entered Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition as a special houseguest. Despite her current success, she admitted that she once considered leaving showbiz due to constant rejections. She initially joined StarStruck Season 6 in 2015 but did not make it to the Top 14. However, in 2018, talent manager Perry Lansigan helped her secure a spot in ABS-CBN, leading to roles in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
Now recognized as one of the country’s top vloggers, Ivana continues to expand her brand. She recently collaborated with Fyang, a fellow content creator, and hopes to work with Anne Curtis in the future. Despite her fame, she remains grounded, emphasizing the importance of humility. She also shared that while she ignores online criticism, she stands up for her family when they are targeted.
