The actor-television host made his relationship and fatherhood announcement in a recent episode of the vlog Your Honor, where he explained why he initially kept it private. According to the Kapuso comedian, he wanted to protect Isay from potential public scrutiny and give her time to adjust.

He has since appeared in various films and TV dramas, including Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan, Darna, and Panday Kids. Buboy has also worked as a TV host and was part of Eat Bulaga! before it was rebranded as Tahanang Pinakamasaya! in 2024.
