Yayo Aguila Forgives Baron Geisler for Past Incident
YAYO AGUILA – The veteran actress has revealed that she has forgiven Baron Geisler for the past actions he committed against her daughter, Patrizha Martinez.
In 2013, Baron was found guilty of acts of lasciviousness against Patrizha, the daughter of Yayo and actor William Martinez. The court sentenced him to six months to two years in prison and imposed a ₱30,000 fine for moral damages.
After the verdict, Baron’s camp reached out to Yayo, attempting to resolve the issue. In an interview with the PEP.ph in September 2013, Yayo shared that Baron’s side made an effort to communicate with her to settle the matter.
In a recent appearance on the show “Lutong Bahay,” Yayo recalled meeting Baron at a showbiz event years after the incident. She shared that when they crossed paths, Baron approached her, apologized, and expressed his regret. Yayo appreciated the gesture, stating that it took courage for him to apologize, and she felt that his apology was sincere.
“Wala akong choice, nagkasalubong kami tapos binati niya ako. Nag-sorry naman siya, nag-sorry siya so sa ‘kin malaking bagay ‘yong it takes guts para makapag-sorry ka. Feeling ko naman sincere siya,” Yayo shared.
Yayo also informed her daughter, Patrizha, about Baron’s apology. Although Patrizha said she had forgiven him, she admitted that she could not forget what had happened. Yayo echoed her daughter’s feelings, explaining that they had forgiven Baron but would never forget the past. “Actually, ‘yong anak ko, sabi niya, ‘Ma, napatawad ko naman siya, e, pero hindi ko makakalimutan ‘yong ginawa niya.’ Ganon din ‘yong stand ko. Napatawad naman na namin siya,” she said.
Despite not wanting to work with Baron on a project, Yayo mentioned that she remains open to the possibility of working with him professionally in the future. She emphasized that work is separate from personal relationships, and she could still collaborate with him without being friends.
