Actor Sam Milby Speaks on Status with Ex-Fiancée Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray
SAM MILBY – The actor confirmed his split with his ex-fiancée, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, after around a year of speculations.
In 2023, countless hearts were left happy and excited when Sam and Catriona got engaged. Undeniably, the handsome and talented actor and the beautiful and intelligent Miss Universe 2018 are a match made in Heaven. Many Filipinos have continually kept themselves updated about the couple’s love story since the two celebrities started dating.
It was in 2020 when the celebrity couple admitted that they were in a relationship. In 2023, Catriona Gray said that she and her then-fiancé, Sam Milby, will officially tie the knot in 2024. However, in early 2024, rumors that the two celebrities have ended their engagement crossed the surface.
Then, both Catriona and Sam were mum on the rumors that they have broken up. The management of the two (2) celebrities, Cornerstone Entertainment, sought for privacy for Sam and Catriona in a statement issued. The talks about the issue slowly eased but several netizens keep on spotting hints that the two (2) celebrities have indeed broken up.
Recently, after around a year since rumors that he and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray have broken up, Sam Milby confirmed their split. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the actor made the confirmation at the sidelines of the media conference of his series “Saving Grace”.
“If you want to ask if we are okay, we are okay. Wala kaming problema,” the actor said.
Sam Milby was quick and direct in answering “No” when asked if he and Catriona are still together. Based on the report, the actor stressed that he and his ex-fiancée have always been private about their relationship and they have not share details about their lives.
“We share certain things nung na-engaged kami, but in terms of the details, and buhay namin, we haven’t really shared,” Sam expressed.
Prior to Sam Milby confirming his breakup with Catriona Gray, the Miss Universe 2018 went viral on social media after she was spotted crying at the concert of TJ Monterde. At the event, the actor was seated just a seat away from her.
“If you wanna ask her what she was feeling, I can’t speak for her. I know that we’re okay, kahit after nung concert I said, I’ll go to the backstage. ‘Cause we’re okay,” the actor said.
Catriona has yet to speak on her breakup with Sam. In November last year, netizens were saddened seeing Sam and Catriona sitting apart on a flight.
