Rosmar Tan to Withdraw Her Candidacy for Manila Councilor

Rosmar Tan No Longer Running for Manila Councilor

ROSMAR TAN – The content creator and entrepreneur has decided to withdraw her candidacy for Manila councilor in the city’s first district.

Rosmar, whose real name is Rosemarie Peñamora Tan, is a Filipino vlogger, entrepreneur, and CEO of the skincare brand Rosmar International. She also owns several other businesses, including a pet shop, a samgyupsal restaurant, a massage parlor, a thrift store, a fish store, and real estate ventures. She gained widespread recognition through her TikTok page, where she has amassed over 20.8 million followers.

Rosmar graduated with a degree in medical technology from Far Eastern University. She began her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 19 while still in university, launching her first business, Mysterious Madre Cacao. Inspired by the use of the madre de cacao plant to treat her dog’s skin condition, she developed and sold products that eventually led to the growth of her skincare brand. Her business success enabled her to generate significant profits and expand into various ventures.

She is married to fellow content creator Jerome Pamulaklakin. They have two daughters and are expecting another child.

In politics, Rosmar ran for councilor in the 2022 Manila local elections but was unsuccessful. She filed her candidacy again for the 2025 elections as an independent candidate for councilor in Manila’s 1st district.

However, Rosmar has now decided to withdraw her candidacy. She informed Inquirer.net that she will submit her certificate of withdrawal today at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) headquarters in Palacio del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila.

Meanwhile, Rosmar has faced controversies, including being declared persona non grata in Palawan due to alleged misconduct and legal violations. Additionally, some of her skincare products have been flagged by the FDA for lacking proper approval.
