Rider Dies Due to Superman Pose on Marilaque
JOHN LOUIE ARGUELLES – The motovlogger popularly referred to as the “Superman of Marilaque” passed away following a tragic accident.
Arguelles, who was riding a red motorcycle, was captured in a video attempting a “Superman pose” alongside another rider. During the stunt, both riders veered out of their proper lanes, seemingly engaging in a race. The accident occurred when the other rider, who stayed in the Superman pose, lost control of his motorcycle.
Although Arguelles managed to return to a normal riding position and move back into the correct lane, he was unable to avoid colliding with his companion. The situation worsened when both riders crashed into tourists sitting on the roadside barrier.
The motorcycle community expressed deep sadness over the incident, highlighting that the stunt was likely performed to capture an impressive photo. Arguelles’ death serves as a sobering reminder of the risks of dangerous behavior on the road.
Meanwhile, Marilaque, which stands for Marikina-Infanta Highway, is a scenic mountain road connecting Metro Manila to the provinces of Rizal, Laguna, and Quezon, ending in the town of Infanta.
