Chie Filomeno Calls Out Dawn Chang
CHIE FILOMENO – The actress-dancer called out fellow performer Dawn Chang on X (formerly Twitter) for allegedly making false statements about her during a recent interview. The issue began after Dawn appeared on One News’ YouTube segment Men’s Room on October 18, 2024, where hosts Anjo Yllana and Stanley Chi asked if she had ever fought with another celebrity.
At first, Dawn said she couldn’t remember any conflicts, but later admitted there was one incident a long time ago. She clarified, “Isa lang naman, tsaka hindi ako ang nang-away, siya ang nang-away sa akin.” Although Dawn didn’t want to discuss it further, she shared some details when the hosts insisted. Stanley Chi hinted that the person involved might have the initials “CF,” and Dawn laughed, indirectly confirming it.
Dawn explained that the problem supposedly began during a rehearsal when “CF” took her dance position. She also claimed this person was angry with her and even gave interviews blaming her for something she didn’t do. While Dawn didn’t mention any names, many netizens believed she was referring to Chie Filomeno, her former co-member in GirlTrends.
The issue came up again on January 24, 2025, when a netizen shared a post summarizing Dawn’s comments and tagged Chie. Seeing this, Chie quickly responded, accusing Dawn of lying. Chie said the alleged rehearsal incident never happened and pointed out that the It’s Showtime production staff could confirm her statement.
Chie also denied pulling anyone’s hair, which Dawn seemed to suggest, and challenged her to explain why such an event would have happened. In another post, Chie shared her frustration, wondering why Dawn would bring up the issue again when she had already moved on.
The feud between Chie and Dawn dates back to their time in GirlTrends, a female group featured on It’s Showtime in 2019. While the exact reason for their conflict is still unclear, their public exchange has brought their unresolved issues back into the spotlight.
