Sofronio Vasquez Advances to The Voice USA Finals
SOFRONIO VASQUEZ – The Filipino-American singer has made it to the finale of The Voice USA Season 26, and the excitement is palpable as he gets one step closer to competing for the title of champion.
On December 2, 2024, Sofronio wowed the coaches and viewers with an emotional performance of Elvis Presley’s iconic song “If I Can Dream.” His powerful vocals, combined with a heartfelt duet with fellow contestant Jeremy Beloate, left a lasting impression, helping him secure a spot in the finals.
What truly made Sofronio’s journey to the finale possible were the overwhelming online votes he received from his supporters. In a Facebook post filled with gratitude, he thanked the Filipino community for their love and encouragement, especially his hometown of Utica, New York. “WE MADE IT TO THE FINALE. Thank you so much to my Filipinos everywhere and in America who gave so much love and support. And Of course, I wanna say Maraming Salamat to my hometown Utica, Upstate New York, Mohawk Valley and Everyoooneeeeeeeeeee!” he shared. He also asked fans to continue praying and voting for him in the final round, expressing how much their support means to him.
Sofronio is part of Team Bublé, mentored by Canadian singer Michael Bublé. Other coaches this season include Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, and Reba McEntire. Before joining The Voice USA, Sofronio was a contestant on the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” segment of It’s Showtime, a popular ABS-CBN noontime show in the Philippines.
