Julia Montes shared that she sustained an injury while shooting a confrontation scene for the action film Topakk, which is part of the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival. According to an ABS-CBN News report, Julia accidentally stepped on a nail during an intense confrontation scene with co-star Arjo Atayde.
“‘Yon ‘yong first meet up namin ni Arjo, so medyo intense na ‘yong mga bagay-bagay,” Julia shared.
After the incident, Julia received an anti-tetanus shot to prevent infection. Her longtime partner, actor-director Coco Martin, reminded her to be extra cautious during action scenes. Despite the accident, he supported her decision to continue working on the film.
Meanwhile, Topakk centers on a security guard with PTSD whose emotions are triggered while protecting a suspected drug mule.
