JOHN ARCILLA – The multi-awarded actor shared his thoughts on the controversy involving Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, and Jam Villanueva.
The veteran actor took to social media, expressing his discomfort about getting involved in such private matters. John admitted feeling uneasy and even ashamed for reading the leaked conversations, eventually deciding to stop. While he didn’t judge those who chose to dig deeper, he wondered why the private messages hadn’t been deleted in the first place. To him, this raised questions about the intent behind exposing them, hinting at possible manipulation or ill will.
John compared the situation to a game of manipulation and gaslighting, where someone seemed to be taking advantage of others, whether for personal gain or carelessness, while pretending to be “cool.” He expressed sympathy for the third party involved, calling their treatment unfair and unnecessary.
Though he acknowledged he could be wrong, John didn’t shy away from expressing his disappointment with the motives behind the actions, calling them distasteful and lacking respect. He encouraged everyone to reflect and handle such situations with more decency and thoughtfulness.
“Sana mali ako. Pero kung tama ako. May kabastusan yung motibo. Ibang Klaseng mag-trip. May hindi rin sina-alang-alang yung 3rd party, bad trip din yon – pero tingin ko lang mukang may isang Kolokoy na nag take advantage ng LAHAT with confidence and a disguise of being Cool?” he said.
Meanwhile, Maris, Anthony, and Jam were caught in a controversy when Jam exposed private messages between Anthony and Maris. Despite denying any romantic involvement, Anthony’s texts and photos with Maris seemed to suggest otherwise. Jam revealed that Anthony claimed their closeness was part of their work, but continued to communicate secretly.
