Recently, a House lawmaker broke his silence on the “scheduled fellowship” of Pres. Bongbong Marcos with some of the lawmakers in the lower chamber held in Malacañang. Based on a report on GMA News, House good government and public accountability chairperson Joel Chua denied that there was a talk about the impeachment at the event.

According to Chua, they just allegedly went there to give the resolution to Pres. Marcos expressing their full support to him. They were with some congressmen and party leaders.

“Ay wala po. Wala pong napagusapang impeachment. Nagpunta lang po dun kasama ‘yung ibang congressman ata party leaders, binigay lang sa Presidente yung resolusyon na ipasa ng House expressing full support to the President,” Chua said.

Based on the report, the House lawmaker further claimed that after Pres. Bongbong Marcos has given a speech thanking the members of the lower chamber and encouraging them to continue doing their jobs they had a few picture taking and then there was a dinner prepared for them.

According to Chua, more than 200 members of the House were there at the “scheduled fellowship” with Pres. Marcos in Malacañang. The event reportedly ended at 8:00 p.m.

It is no secret to the public that VP Sara Duterte and Pres. Bongbong Marcos are not in good terms. Despite it, Pres. Marcos said he is not in favor of an impeachment plan against VP Duterte.
