Amid His Legal Issues, Ken Chan is Said to Be in New York
KEN CHAN – The Kapuso actor is allegedly hiding in New York amid the syndicated estafa case he is facing.
The popular actor, known for his roles in GMA series like My Special Tatay, Destiny Rose, and Meant to Be, is currently facing an arrest warrant related to a syndicated estafa case. Despite authorities attempting to arrest him at his Quezon City home on November 8, they were unable to find him. This is the second time police have tried to serve the warrant after a failed attempt in September.
The charges against Chan stem from an alleged investment scam, in which he is accused of soliciting P14 million from clients for a restaurant business. He promised them a 10% return on their investments each month. However, after the business shut down, Chan allegedly disappeared, leaving his clients defrauded. As a result, he faces charges alongside seven others. The case was elevated to court after prosecutors found enough evidence to charge him with syndicated estafa, a serious offense involving fraud carried out by a group of people.
While the case continues, Chan remains active on social media, and his recent posts have sparked curiosity about his whereabouts. He shared an image of himself on Instagram from an undisclosed location, captioning it, “Mindset is everything.” He also posted a close-up photo of the Statue of Liberty, fueling speculation that he may be in New York. Another post showed him enjoying a fruit plate with a “Good morning” caption, although the timing of these photos remains unclear.
Ken Chan’s continued presence on social media contrasts with the legal issues he is facing. His silence on the matter has not stopped him from engaging with his followers, leaving many wondering about his next steps amid the ongoing legal situation.
