XYRIEL MANABAT – The Kapamilya actress responded to a body shamer after sharing photos of herself on Instagram.
In her post, Xyriel wrote, “Less than 5ft to be exact but still slayin’,” showcasing her outfit of the day (OOTD). While many praised her confidence and style, one netizen commented, “Di ba puwedeng bawasan, parang ang bigat dalhin?,” referring to her figure.
Xyriel didn’t hold back in her reply, stating, “di ba pwedeng manahimik, parang ang stupid magcomment e.” Her fans quickly rallied to her defense, criticizing the netizen for her remarks. Comments from supporters included phrases like, “Her body, her rules,” and “halatang walang pinag aralan oops.” Some fans even encouraged the netizen to unfollow Xyriel if they found her posts offensive.
In response, the netizen explained her comment by reminiscing about a character named Momay, saying, “Miss ko na kc si Momay, she’s gone na. I still watch Momay sa ALLTV.” She further added that she missed Anna Manalastas and felt nostalgic about the cheerful character, implying that Xyriel has changed since her younger days.
However, many netizens pointed out that Xyriel has grown up and evolved from the child star she once was. Body shaming is not new to her, but Xyriel has consistently shown resilience.
