Kris Aquino Refutes Claims of Secret Wedding with Non-Showbiz Boyfriend
KRIS AQUINO – The Queen of All Media addressed rumors circulating online that she had married her non-showbiz boyfriend in a private outdoor ceremony.
The rumors suggested that the couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding held in a venue surrounded by nature. Kris, known as the Queen of All Media, clarified these claims through a message sent to her friend, journalist Dindo Balares, who shared her response on his Instagram account.
Kris’s initial reaction was direct and clear, labeling the rumors as “fake news.” She thanked her media friends who reached out to verify the story and urged everyone to wait for the correct information to come out. Balares posted this response, along with a set of photos that allegedly fueled the speculation. One photo showed Kris and her rumored boyfriend on a plane, reportedly taken during Kris’s recent return to the Philippines, while the other depicted what was described as a wedding venue set up in a garden-like area.
In a more detailed follow-up response, Kris explained why the idea of her having an outdoor wedding was unrealistic due to her health conditions. She pointed out that her severe allergies to tree leaves and grass, along with her chronic asthma and ongoing treatment for Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, made it impractical for her to hold any event outdoors. Kris emphasized that her medical conditions make her extremely sensitive to direct sunlight and other environmental triggers, which would make such a setting harmful to her and her son Bimb, who also has asthma.
Kris went on to note that if the person spreading the rumors truly knew her, they would understand her limitations when it comes to outdoor venues and how these environments negatively affect her respiratory health. She joked that even astroturf, often used as a lawn substitute, poses issues for her due to its tendency to collect dust.
In her closing remarks, Kris mentioned that people should only believe the information if it comes from reliable sources like Dindo Balares or showbiz insider Ogie Diaz.
