Guide on GSIS Calamity Loan October 2024 Eligibility
GSIS CALAMITY LOAN OCTOBER 2024 – Here’s a guide for the GSIS members on the areas that are eligible under the Emergency Loan offer.
In times of calamities, there is where the advantage of maintaining active memberships to the social insurance entities set in. One of the giant social insurance entities in the Philippines is the GSIS or the Government Service Insurance System.
Most of the member populace of the Government Service Insurance System includes former and current employees of the government. It is mandated among the employees of the government to maintain an active membership to the state entity by posting monthly savings. An updated account may qualify a member to the GSIS loans.
One of the loan offers of the Government Service Insurance System is the Emergency Loan or the GSIS Calamity Loan offer. Here are the qualifications under the said loan offer of the state entity:
- a bona fide resident or employee of the government office within the declared calamity area;
- be in active service and not on leave of absence without pay;
- has no arrearages in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions; and
- has no loan that has been declared in default.
