Gardo Versoza Backs Arnold Clavio’s Remarks About Candidates Lacking Plans
GARDO VERSOZA – The actor agreed with GMA Integrated News anchor Arnold Clavio’s critique of candidates in the upcoming elections who lack concrete plans for the country.
Clavio, in an Instagram post on October 15, humorously labeled these candidates with the “scientific name” “CACATUA MANGMANGUSAMUS,” referring to those who want to win elections without having a real strategy in place.
Gardo commented on Clavio’s post, emphasizing the various tactics individuals employ to advance in life and earn money. He shared his amusement with the phrase, saying, “hahahahahaha kanya kanyang diskarte talaga para makaahon sa buhay at magkamal ng salapi.”
The actor’s remarks come in light of his previous posts regarding elections, including references to comments made by the late Comedy King Dolphy about political candidacy and the need to address political dynasties. Gardo reflected on Dolphy’s assertion that he could potentially win many votes but acknowledged his own lack of political knowledge and experience.
Additionally, Gardo expressed his belief that political dynasties should not be supported, particularly when they operate like a business or vice. His comments highlight a growing concern among citizens about the quality and intentions of political candidates, especially in the context of the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.
Despite Clavio’s pointed remarks, he refrained from naming any specific candidates, leaving it open for interpretation among his audience. This exchange between Clavio and Gardo underscores the ongoing discussions around electoral integrity and the importance of accountability among those seeking public office.
To recall, a candidate attracted online attention by announcing that she would only share her political platform if she won the upcoming election. When questioned about her motivations for running, she refused to provide an answer, stating that details about her platform would only be revealed if she secured victory in the election scheduled for next year.
