Delivery Rider Airs Dismay After Delivering Almost 100 Kilos of Avocados to Customer
A delivery rider expressed his disappointment after delivering almost 100 kilograms of avocados to a customer.
Recently, the Facebook page “Lalamove Philippines Driver, Rider, and CS Group” shared the post of a delivery rider who posted his transactions with a customer. The post quickly went viral and elicited a lot of reactions from online users.
The rider explained that it was his first time working for Lalamove, and he was still getting used to the app. As a result, he accepted random bookings without fully understanding the details.
One of the orders he took was for two large boxes of avocados, which he estimated weighed about 100 kilograms. To make things more challenging, the delivery took place from Parañaque to Pacita during a rainy early morning at 1 AM, making the experience even more difficult for him and his motorcycle.
Despite the customer paying him P400 for the delivery, the rider still felt disheartened. He believed that the effort and stress involved in the delivery, including the weather conditions and the strain on his motorcycle, made it feel like he was at a loss.
However, he decided to brush off the experience and consider it a learning opportunity, viewing it as a “welcome” to his new career as a delivery rider. The post shows the difficulties delivery riders often face in their line of work.
