Son of Sandra Lemonon and Sol Mercado Had a Seizure Before Their Nuptials
SANDRA LEMONON – The son of Miss World Philippines 2016 fourth runner-up and former Barangay Ginebra player Sol Mercado had a seizure before their wedding.
The newlywed couple faced a significant challenge just before their wedding. On September 8, they held an intimate wedding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia, attended by their families and close friends. However, the day before their wedding, they encountered a serious health issue involving their child, Zaiah Rafael Mercado, known as Z.
Sandra shared on Instagram that Z experienced a seizure due to a high fever, causing both her and Sol to feel immense fear and anxiety. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, febrile seizures occur in young children during illnesses that cause high fevers, such as colds or ear infections. Sandra and Sol were deeply concerned as they faced this health crisis just before their special day.
In her Instagram post, Sandra reflected on the emotional journey leading up to the wedding. She acknowledged the hardships they faced, including the health scare with Z. Despite the difficulties, she felt a sense of support and guidance from her late father and God throughout the process. Sandra expressed gratitude for the love and support they received, highlighting that the wedding day, though nerve-wracking, was magical and memorable.
Sandra also shared a personal touch, noting that September 8 was significant as it marked the eighth anniversary of her late father’s passing. She mentioned that the number 8 had always held special meaning for them, and she humorously recalled a past joke with Solomon about her rating as an 8 out of 10 before their marriage. Sandra’s post concluded with a message of gratitude for the love they experienced and a hopeful sentiment about continuing to find each other in future lifetimes.
