Recently, Vice President Sara Duterte aired her belief that Quiboloy is no longer in Davao. The Vice President cited that there was enough time for the Pastor to leave the city amid the hearings in the Senate. She even joked that the Pastor is in heaven now.

Pastor Quiboloy is close to the Duterte family most especially to former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He was his spiritual adviser. The Pastor even gifted the former President a house.

The belief of Vice Pres. Duterte is the same with the belief of KOJC spokesperson and Pastor Quiboloy’s legal counsel, Attorney Israelito Torreon. According to the lawyer, the Pastor has left the compound in March and they have repeatedly told the members of the PNP that he’s no longer there.

Amid the belief of Vice Pres. Duterte and Atty. Torreon, the Philippine National Police believes that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is still in the compound. Based on a video report of UNTV, the PNP stands firm on its belief that it was a human heartbeat that was detected by their radar underground. Thus, the authorities decided to dig in the pursuit of locating the bunker.

According to PNP Police Major Catherine Dela Ray, they are implementing legal steps in the pursuit of arresting Pastor Quiboloy. The police also reacted to the accusations that they are planting evidence as they implement their drilling operations.

The PNP denied the accusation. Based on the report, Dela Ray stressed that they are not bringing in equipment that were meant to plant evidence. She also explained that not all moves of the police can be publicized to avoid the operation from being jeopardized.

“Kung may ipapasok man kami na mga gamit, it would be in aid sa ginagawa namin na pag-search. Hindi lahat ng mga tactical and operations or strategies namin ay pwedeng ihayag sa publiko,” the PRO 11 Spokesperson said.
