Content Creator Exposes Fake Honey Being Sold by Vendor
A content creator received various reactions online after sharing the differences between real and fake honey.
Recently, Sotto TV10, a Facebook user, shared a video of a content creator explaining the differences between real and fake honey. The video garnered various reactions from the netizens.
In the video, the content creator is seen talking to a vendor selling honey. While the vendor claimed that his honey was genuine, the customer seemed doubtful but decided to buy a bottle for P350 to use in his content.
Later, the content creator had his indigenous companions, who are experienced honey harvesters, taste the honey. Opinions were mixed, but the creator confidently concluded that the honey was fake.
According to the content creator, real honey should be thick and viscous, not watery. He also pointed out that real honey often contains small black particles and tends to be less refined, indicating its natural origins.
The honey he bought, however, dissolved in water quickly, resembling sugar more than actual honey.
The content creator emphasized that his goal was not to ruin the reputation of sellers but to remind consumers to be cautious. He advised buyers to be more mindful when purchasing honey, especially from unverified sources, to avoid being misled.
He also shared his own experience as a regular honey user, claiming that he consumes honey every day and can easily tell the difference between pure and adulterated honey. His message to sellers was to be more responsible, as food is something that affects people’s health.
The concerned netizen further warned those who buy online to be extra cautious, as instead of improving their health, they might end up falling ill from consuming fake products.
The video has a caption:
“Paano mo malalaman kung puro ang pulot na nabili mo, paalala lang po eto sa mga nag bebenta ng mga pagkain maging responsable po tayu dahil pagkain po ang benebenta nyu”
