Tulfo Brothers’ Mother Passes Away
CARIDAD TESHIBA TULFO – The mother of the well-known Tulfo brothers, passed away on August 27, 2024, due to natural causes. Her sons, including House Deputy Majority Leader and ACT-CIS party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo, expressed deep gratitude and sorrow in their public statements.
Erwin Tulfo, in a heartfelt Facebook post, thanked his mother for her love, sacrifices, and for instilling in them the values of helping the needy and fighting for the helpless. He bid her a touching farewell, expressing his love and appreciation for all she had done for her family. Erwin also shared details of her wake, which was held at the Sanctuarium in Quezon City, beginning on August 28, with her final resting place at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig on September 1.
In his post, Erwin requested that, instead of sending flowers, well-wishers could make donations to two of his mother’s charitable institutions: the Emmanuel Servants of the Holy Trinity Foundation Inc. and the Providence Home of St. Joseph – Davao Inc.
Raffy Tulfo, another prominent member of the Tulfo family and a senator, also expressed his deep gratitude to his mother. He credited her love and care for shaping him into the person he is today, expressing his heartfelt farewell and love for her.
The ACT-CIS Partylist, with which both Raffy and Erwin are affiliated, issued a statement expressing their condolences to the Tulfo family on the passing of their beloved mother.
Caridad Teshiba Tulfo is survived by her children, including Ramon Jr., Tuchi, Wanda, Ben, Bong, Joseph, Raffy, Erwin, and Edel, along with her daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family is united in mourning her loss and remembering her legacy of love, sacrifice, and commitment to helping others.
