Angelica Yulo Explains Why She and Her Son Carlos Yulo Are Not on Speaking Terms
ANGELICA YULO – The mother of Carlos Yulo explained why she is not on speaking terms with her son, a two-time Olympic gold medalist. In an interview with GMA News, she answered his accusations of mishandling the cash rewards he received from his sporting victories.
Angelica firmly denied these claims and said she had enough evidence to prove her innocence. She insisted that she did not misuse or take any of Carlos’s money. “Yung tungkol doon sa pera na ninakaw ko, nilustay, winaldas sa luho ko…sinabi ko sa kanila na walang halong katotohanan lahat,” she said. She added that she was willing to show deposit slips to prove she was telling the truth.
To back up her statements, the mother of Carlos Yulo pointed out that their family’s lifestyle had not changed even after Carlos earned large sums of money. She noted that their way of living remained the same both before and after Carlos’s financial success, showing that she did not spend the money on personal luxuries.
The emotional impact of the situation was clear as Angelica spoke about the hurt she felt when her own son called her a thief. “Masama yung loob ko, nando’n ‘yung pain na sabihan ka ng anak mo ng magnanakaw,” she said, explaining that this accusation was a major reason for their falling out. She expressed feelings of betrayal and disappointment over what she saw as baseless accusations.
Despite their issues, Mrs. Yulo shared that she is still proud of Carlos’s accomplishments. However, she also blamed Carlos’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, for worsening the problems between them. Angelica Yulo described San Jose as a ‘red flag’ and suggested that her influence had made the relationship between mother and son even more difficult.
